The Watershed

Well, it’s been a year since I bought my Costco 24-hour Fitness pass and stepped foot into a gym and launched myself into a healthier lifestyle. And I can say I’m a bit surprised I’ve stayed on track. I’ve realized a few months back that it’s become so routine that it’s strange for me not to go to the gym.

Of course, I know I have a long way to go and my work is never done and I always have to stay hungry, etc. etc. But progress I can be proud of! And I’m definitely proud of my boys for sticking to it with me as well.

I’ve had my ups and downs, I’ve learned so much, I’ve pushed myself harder than I thought I could, and I have the utmost confidence that I can keep going, getting better and better.

As evidenced by my last post, April last year was a big month. A lot of things came together and the culmination of those events and thoughts made this year-long trip really transformative for me. It sounds hackneyed and almost bullshitty, but it’s true. I’ve made a lot of changes that I’m proud of. I’ve learned a lot about myself.

I just wanted to put that out there. Here’s to a great rest of the year!
