The Yes

I think I’ve transcended beyond the “yes man” mentality. I remember one of older goals was to take advantage of more opportunities that came my way. I think this year, I’ve been able to finally accomplish this. This is partially due to the fact that I have an increased income, realized how young I am and how much fun I should be having, and become closer to a lot of my friends (and making many new ones). It’s hard to meet people after college, I feel. But this year has been great (and it’s not even over). But I’ve taken a lot of trips already. And now, I have a snowboarding trip planned, which I’ve been thinking about for a couple of years now. And I’ve made a major purchase, something I rarely do. It’s my first flight booked for next Spring, where I will be going to the Wizarding World in Florida! I don’t understand how plane tickets can be so expensive, but I don’t even care about that. But I have so much stuff planned that I even have an event calendar (that isn’t just filled with test dates anymore).

I’m excited that I’ve been able to do the things I set out to do, accomplish minor goals, and feel the freedom of independence. Not that I’m ~financially stable~ but you know what, I’ve saved up enough to allow myself to splurge a little.

What I realized is that I love being and being around people who are always down to do stuff. Hanging out with people who are open to doing random things and not too worried about the little things or passive and indecisive about stuff. It just feels nice, and it’s something I strive to add to my personality. On my way!

And I’ve officially planned design and placement for my next tattoos! Which will be another major investment, but totally worth it. I have my next few planned, actually, and there are some major milestones I’d like to achieve before I allow myself to get some. I’m so excited.

  1. Where you traveled so far buddy?

    • I used to travel a lot on family vacations when I was a kid! Now, I just feel like there’s so much to do and think about that I don’t have time for vacation…though I’m slowly getting out of that frame of mind.

But anyway, I’ve been to New York (and Virginia and Baltimore and DC), Florida, Oregon/Washington, Nevada/Arizona, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, Vietnam/Thailand, Jamaica/Caribbean.

I kind of want to go back to Asia, and also see Australia, maybe Alaska, and Europe probably one time or another. I see all these nice places on Tumblr though hahaha.

      What about you?!

      • Nice!! You got a lot of places on my list I need to visit. Parents didn’t like travel growing up. So barely been anywhere, but starting to explore on my own. Hopefully more National Parks and Europe next summer.

I’ve really only been to Caribbean and like CA/TX/AZ.
