The Weenie

All I did in May was work, work out, eat, and sleep. And I haven’t made a non-fitness and/or regular post in a while. Just been busy busy busy. Summer’s always nice because not too many shows are on, so I can take a break from TV and focus on real world stuff.

June goals; so it is written, so it shall be done!:

  1. Stop taking so many naps. I think I’ve napped almost every day lately? I’ve just been tired and don’t want to study.
  2. Sign up for the GRE. Finally.
  3. Don’t spend money. I spent way too much in May and recently in the past couple of months, so time to go on a spendfreeze.

KROQ Weenie Roast 2014 was this past weekend and I learned a few things.

  1. Bastille is the greatest and made it all worth it.
  2. I’ve been telling myself that it’s okay to spend money on concerts, but hmm, I may be rethinking that. Not sure I enjoyed this festival in particular just because I’m not a huge fan of everyone, so a lot of the time, I was just like ehhh. Maybe I’d be okay with just watching a live stream? But maybe I’d regret that.
  3. I sunburn really easily.
  4. I hate people. Obnoxious people on the lawn scare me. People during the Avicii segment…so funny to observe.
  5. Other than that, it was a really fun experience, glad I got tickets. Not sure I can do Coachella though.
  6. No surprise guest though? Lame.

  • Best of the day: Bastille, American Authors
  • Not good live: The Neighbourhood
  • Better than I thought: Fitz and the Tantrums, Phantogram, Capital Cities
  • Not as good as I thought they’d be: Kongos
  • Still like: The 1975, Bleachers
  • Skipped: Beck
  • Still whatever about: Avicii, Fall Out Boy, Foster the People, Cherub
